  1. What makes your company worth our investment?

Each of our DJ’s (we send more than one to each event) has booked hours and hours of on the floor time. Based on what you are looking for (which is discussed at your free consultation) we see which of our DJ’s would be the best fit for you and your party. Our number one concern is that you and your guest are all happy with the way your special event runs. Each of our DJ’s is extremely knowledgeable in music and conducts themselves professionally at all times.

  2. Is setup/break down time included in your price?

We never charge our customers for setup/break down time. No professional service would try to stick you with extra charges. You are paying for the highest caliber of entertainment, why should you have to pay when we aren’t providing our entertainment services.

  3. Does the DJ take breaks?

Since we send 2 DJ’s at all times, this is never an issue. One DJ can take a break while the other continues to run the party. Our DJ can be the life of the party, or can be the respectful gentleman in the corner mixing the music.

  4. Can we pick the music at our event?

Absolutely! Feel free to send us a list of anything you want to hear. If we don’t have it we will either get it, or we will play from your CD. (No Records/Cassettes please)

  5. Do Not Play List?

Absolutely! Some people really don’t like certain artists or songs. Often they bring back less than fond memories. Let us know, and we will ensure that even if it requested by one of your guests it will not be played.

  6. How loud is the DJ going to play the music?

We never want to blow out ear drums, but DJ’s usually do play the music quite loud. If you feel at anytime the music is too loud, let us know. We always try to keep it to a reasonable sound level.

  7. Do you advertise actively at the events?

We keep a stack of business cards on our table. We do not put up banner ads or make obnoxious advertisements during your event. We know you will do the advertising for us when your friends ask who you used at your party.

  8. Can we meet the DJ before we sign a contract?

Absolutely! We encourage you to set up the free consultation. If he is not going to be the DJ at your event (because you want a different DJ) we can set up a meeting with the primary DJ who will be running your event.

  9. Excessive Travel?

We are willing to travel anywhere. We’ve been asked to go as far as Florida (unfortunately we were double booked the next morning.) For excessive travel, there may be a small surcharge which will be determined before the contract is signed.

  10. Tipping the DJ?

Tipping is always appreciated by the DJ and is looked kindly upon. It tells the DJ that you were happy with his service. Gratuity is NOT mandatory.

  11. Motivational Dancers?

We have motivational dancers available for a small extra hourly fee (we charge you what they get paid! We do NOT take profit cuts from our dancers).

  12. Feeding the DJ?

It is very much appreciated if the DJ gets to eat (especially since parties tend to run at meal times.) But as with gratuity it is not mandatory. Please let us know in advance if you will not provide food for the DJs so they can eat ahead of time.

  13. When do you need the deposit and how much?

As stated on all our SCJ’s contracts the deposit is ¼ the price of the event. It is appreciated if the deposit is given on the date the contract is signed. This shows us you are serious, and that we should hold this date for you.

  14. How early do you need to book?

The sooner the better! We have taken events on as little as one weeks notice, but you are much better off booking 3-6 months in advance. It makes your life much less hectic, and will ensure everything runs perfectly. If you do have an event that is very soon, contact us as quickly as possible, and we will work as quickly as possible to have everything ready.

  15. Are your rates negotiable?

We will price match any other verifiable service that offers the same service levels. This service is at our discretion for formal events. Not every service has two fully trained DJ’s with lighting packages and professional grade sound systems.
